Manchester United 2 - Arsenal 0 : Match Report

Manchester United played a well deserved win against Arsenal. The squad was different this time since it contained most of the defense players. Hence, the good part was seeing the Da Silva brothers Fabio and Rafael play together. Fabio opened the night with a good finish on Alumunia's goal. Rafael crossed it to Rooney who was able to head it towards Fabio and finally to the goal. The first goal was during the 28th minute. Arsenal had some good chances, but thanks to Van Der Sar, nothing got pass him. The second half started by a substitution were Fabio was replaced by Antonio Valencia who was absent for over three months due to his injury. Rooney started the second half with a goal in the 50th minute. It was well played by Rafael who slipped in into the Arsenal defense and passed it to Chicharito who finished it for Rooney to head it in the goal. Scholes also came on yet, some tension was found between him and Samir Nasri after a hard tackle done by Scholes. Its always good to see that smile on Sir Alex's face after todays win. So, Manchester United move on to the next round of the F.A cup and look forward to win it this year. United are now looking forward for the comming match vs. Marsielle in the Champions League.

Liverpool 3 - United 1 : Mw" Its alright, we'll get'em next time"

Well, as it happened, a crucial match for United yet a good one for Liverpool. Dirt Kuyt got his hatrick today and one goal was from Nani who gave in an unknown header. Nani was then tackled by Jamie Carragher who recevied a card. Nani was badly injured by the cleets of Carragher that hit Nani hard. Nani was carried away of the pitch hurt physically and mentally. Chicharito came on for Nani yet he wasn't at his top form, yet the goal he scored was important. The first half witnessed alot of struggles and almost a fight. Rafael who tackled Skirtel badly was then pushed by the liverpool players due to his behavior. Rafael received a yellow card and was replaced in the second half by John Oshea who should have started the game instead of Rafael. Javier Hernandez gave United a consolation goal in the 90th minute, too bad it wasn't enough for United. Wes Brown and Chris Smalling played well yet Suarez was flying around them.

United still lead the BPL table with 60 points in first place.

Defense Crises Yet We Will Hold : Ferdinand and Vidic Unavailable

Due to Ferdinand’s injured calf that was caught in the warm-up before United’s first league loss this season on February 5, still Ferdinand will remain unavailable for the match against Liverpool.

Nemanja Vidic who has been suspended after United’s second league loss this season on March 1^st , Vidic will have to miss the match.

"Rio won't be fit. Wes will take over, he has great experience." Said Sir Alex.

Basically, United’s defense will consist of Brown and Smalling at the center of the defense. Hopefully with Brown’s experience and Smalling’s strength, United should hold on against the Liverpool offense.

This going to be a test for Smalling as well as Brown.
